Ahh okay, it's a PC desktop... not normally as bad with power saving, etc.

Is it coming up with a message or something? Or just slows down?

It might be an overheating issue instead?

Are the PC fans all spinning and free of dust/blockages?
Does the back of the PC case feel like hot air after prolonged usage?

Under BIOS, you might find some power saving features (disable them). Note: BIOS is advance, accessed via a key while your PC is booting, and different depending on your motherboard. Look at your motherboard book if available. If unsure however, don't change anything.

Under Windows > Control Panel > Power Settings

Ensure it's set to "High Performance" and change plan settings.

Turn off and sleep should be set to "Never".

Then "Change advanced power settings".

Set "Sleep" > "Sleep after" to NEVER
Set "PCI Express" > "Link State Power Management" to OFF

Gaming = put on High Performance
Other non-gaming uses = put on Balanced
Laptop = put on Power Saving for best overall Battery length when using that.
