2gb vs 4gb

I just bought a laptop with a 960m 2gb ddr5 ram. would 4gb of ram make a big difference than 2gb of ram in gameplay?

We are talking aboug vga ram, the computer itself came with 16gb ram upgradable to 32. there is only about 2 other laptops that have the same specs, all around $1000, one of them being the MSI and the other is the acer aspire nitro black v17

Here's what you need to understand tho. In the IT world, computer specs being misunderstood is the first thing you hear when someone doesn't know what they're talking about.

"It has 500 gigabits of RAM. My old computer had 4gigabits"

So when you say 'RAM' we are not thinking you're refering to 'vram'. Anyone in IT assumes you don't know what you're talking about. So, you can do whatever you want. But I'm just letting you know that, we have specific words for things. You know what the difference is between them so you should not use those words wrong.
