They're of similar grade gaming mouses. I think the brand preference is what matters here, and maybe the looks?

From the mouses I haved used so far (being Deathadder, Mamba, Rival 300), Deathadder had the fastest reaction time, the other 2 had a slight lag to it when you move the mouse, so I'm assuming the deathadder is going to be faster than the Asus ROG.

However, Deathadder grip sucks, especially for me because I have gigantic hands.

I guess it's upto you to decided lol.

If you buy Deathadder at best buy, you can return it in 15 days if you dont like it, so why dont you try using both then return the one you dont want?

If by 'faster' you mean supporting a higher DPI value, that's not a universal indicator for how good a mouse is.

I mean the response time, how fast the crosshair reacts to your mouse movement. I don't care about how much the mouse goes up in terms of DPI is beacuse i only use 800.

Then you're referring to the polling rate. Most gaming mouse settles with 1GHz and it's enough for even pro-gamers.

Still, 800DPI? That's one slow moving cursor...

I don't know, Deathadder feels more responsive to me, and it does make a difference for me in CSGO compettitive mode.

I don't know, it might just be me then...

Oh also, yea 800 DPI lol with 1 sensetitive in-game. I like using low sensetivity!

I've had two Deathadders and I'm about to have a Gladius tomorrow. I can tell you which I like better after it's delivered if you want to wait.

Honestly though, short of some severe problem with the Gladius my hypothesis is that the Gladius will be better. All the Deathadders ended up with micro switch problems a year onward and the Gladius has solved this issue while still using the same optical sensor as the Deathadder.

If you have to choose now, go with the Gladius because of the hot swappable micro switches. Also, it has a DPI switch below the scroll wheel if you like changing your DPI to snipe.

Got the Gladius today. I give it my seal of approval. It is accurate and feels quite sturdy. I now have a good optical mouse that will not die with the microswitches. With any luck, I'll be using this mouse for a decade like my LCD TV!

I've not used the ASUS but the Deathadder is EXTREMELY light and I find that great for games that require quick reflexes.

Mice are almost always down to personal preference. Some people love heavy bulky mice, some people like the weird shapes because their grip is awkward etc.

Hey there.
I bought ASUS Gladius like 4 months ago and so far so GOSH SO FOCKING GOOD. It has same optical sensor as Razer Deathadder, it has 2000Mhz, and i guess that Razer has "only" 1000Mhz. But i guess that if you are not super human, you wont really see diference between that. Both are (one of best) gaming mouses you can get. Its up to your personal preferences like grip (Gladius is really good for my hand), lighs (Gladius has only red colour)...

I agree. The Gladius is amazing compared to the Deathadders I've owned. It performs just as well, plus I know my micro switch going out won't be what kills my mouse anymore.
