GPT or MBR for games?
Left it on MBR but GPT i heard is newer.

Are you referring to the partition types? GPT is almost always better as MBR is the original standard and isn't really used much anymore.

Newer doesn't mean better. There is no difference (or nearly no difference) for you which one to choose.
