Temps in SpeedFan
I have no clue on how to read the different temps in Speedfan. What is the difference between Temp1,2,3, and Core? I have a FX 8350 if thats any important. I used a CPU Burner to raise the temps up to figure it out myself but im still lost.

Hit the config. button top right, and open any tab to check off what is shown on main page.
you can rewrite the names also.
cores= core temp
temp 1,2 are usually system and cpu temps.
uncheck temp 3
should be able to see all 8 core temps, and check off all volt. you want to see at bottom.

So do I have to worry about Core temp or Temp1 (I think thats my cpu) when overclocking? Or both?

speedfan really is not the best to use, I use afterburner or CPUID hwmonitor.

Afterburner doesn't give cpu temps though and I already have CPUID. So for CPUID do i want to pay attention to the Package temp. under the FX-8350 tab or CPU under the temperatures tab when overclocking/unparking. Im more likely unparking because last time I overclocked my 8350 to 4.4ghz it started blue screening.

Afterburner does indeed monitor CPU temps. Check your settings.

Just checked and at least it doesn't work on my computer as there was no such setting.

Afterburner lists cpu1 temp,cpu2 temp and so
those are core temps
cpu temp would have only one temp sensor

I don't have any of that on my Afterburner and I cannot enable it in the Montioring settings either.
$80 from where? It's usually under $40
No where near worthy of no $50+
For $70-80 you'd be better off with a Noctua NHD14 or NHD15

Yea IDK WTF people keep saying that MSI AB can monitor the CPU; it does not do that. It can only see CPU Loads with regards to any CPU stuff.

IDK why you need SpeedFan, just go in the BIOS and set the Fans, done. Turn off auto fan controls and let them run at their intended speeds. Or get a physical fan controller unit.

For monitoring I would suggest something like HWMonitor or OpenHardwareMonitor; to which there is nothing for the user to configure.
