Overclocking the 6700k to 4.5ghz
I have done exactly what the video below describes, everything seems to be running fine but I know better than to just sit back and judge a book by its cover. Would be nice to know if I have done things right.

If its good then perhaps it might even help other people, I dont understand everything I did, especially the CPU load-line calibration.

post a cpuz validation link
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
cpuz -> validate button -> submit button
it will open a browser, copy the url (address) and paste it here

what mobo and cpu cooler do you have?

overclocking k cpu i seasy, just raise the cpu multi in bios
and core voltage if its unstable
looks about right
4.5ghz 1.3v

if you need more help try here

U don't just apply an OC and then move on with every day use of your system; u need to run stress tests; to test for overall stability, heat, etc.

on 6700K, 4.6Ghz @ under 1.3V should be quite easy to do with decent Motherboard and proper cooling. You could technically go higher; but usually above 4.6Ghz on this CPU, you'd have to start raising the CPU VCore Voltage quite a bit; something I do not recommend folks who are new to things to mess with.

Anything Voltage wise should be left alone. However change a needed voltage like VCore lower then what it runs at via Stock Clocks should be fine; again as long as it all runs stable. But be sure to test it lengthy periods.

And have good realtime monitor for monitoring voltages, fans, cpu/gpu temps; etc.

Here's my 6600k. It's my first time overclocking since my old i5 760, which I just replaced (it's still running the OC, gave it away), seems to be a lot more confusing these days.

I only changed the multiplier to 48 and the vcore to 1.38. I haven't touched LLC, I guess that's why it's displaying 1.162 V? IBT maximum was stable for 20 minutes at 1.375 V but p95 blend was not, upped to 1.38 and tested with IBT to 80 C but haven't done p95.

Should I be changing any of the other settings to help with this CPU clock stability, or being able to reduce the vcore perhaps?
