they may even be disabled or miscalibrated
lots of ripple can kill other hardware, mobo, cpu, drives, gpu ect..
No thats a terrible trade if it's $100 USD.
For that much money you can get a new GTX 950 which is far better.
If you dont have enough you could probably sell your 730 on Ebay and afford it
Based on current Ebay prices your friend should really be offering you the 750Ti for your 730 + $40 USD.
I bought it this year which is a huge progress compared to my Nvidia 9800 gt Zotac 1gb.
I vote a new 750ti for OP, or a 950 if you can get one.
If you can, get a GTX 950 2GB; it's alot more powerful then say GTX 750 or 750 Ti; and won't have issues above 720p resolution
