All mouses I use sometimes move diagonally?
I need some help here, I've searched the web for advice but everything I've found they have said it's just "Mouse issues" and to "Buy a new one".

I'll be in game, and when I move my mouse left and right it will instead go diagonally; making it impossible to play games. Thing is, I've tried 4 different mouses now to make sure that it isn't just my gaming mouse messing up, and it's not. I've taken two of my mouses to my local gaming lounge and they work fine there, but on my PC they seem to just kinda bug out.

I'm not sure what's causing it but it's been happening for so long and for a long time I just thought it was my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ old mouse, but it's not.

I'm nearly certain it's something to do with my PC and I really need a fix. I honestly cannot find anything online on how to fix it so please, any advice with this cursor issue is highly appreciated.

You sure it isn't the mousepad?
Use a blank A4 piece of paper and test it on that.

Any controllers plugged in?

I use mouse only. My old mouse wouldn't work on certain surfaces, so I bought a new one. I've tried 4 different mice, mouse pad and mouse doesn't make a difference. Still happens.

start -> run -> msconfig
startup tab, untick all startup items
service tab, untick all non ms items
reboot

https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/
install mbam
run mbam, let it update, and full scan
fix all problems
reboot in safe mode
run mbam, let it full scan
fix all problems
reboot

also check task scheduler, many newer forms of malware use it to update or reinstall themselves
start -> right click on computer -> manage
computer management -> system tools -> task scheduler -> task scheduler library
that list should be empty

I'll give that a try, although I've already scanned and removed all malware. I'll give this a try now. Ty.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware free (untick the Trial)
and ESET Free AV Scan[www.eset.com]

So far I've done the first thing you said, start up is 100% faster. Thanks for that.

When u have MSCONFIG on "Normal" Startup; what all is in there?

U can easily share that by running Piriform SPECCY
Wait for the main screen to load all your specs; then click File > Publish Snapshot; then share that URL here.

Do you have any other controllers plugged in? Gamepads, Joysticks, graphic tablets, speciel pens, or anything with an analog axis? If yes, try and remove them.

Yes; any controller u not going to actually use in-game, disconnect it.

I have a graphic tablet, but it's not been plugged in for a long time.

I think the problem might be fixed after I tried everything.

Fixed a lot of fps and graphical issues too. Thanks everyone.
