Switching graphics card from AMD to NVidia, will I have to reinstall my Steam games?
As long as I uninstall the Radeon and install the new card and drivers correctly, will it be all the same to Steam? That is, swapping cards in the same PC just requires the usual setup to make Windows happy and Steam will not really care. Just haven't done this specific thing before & am curious.

Correct. No need to reinstall Steam or any of your games.

you should uninstall the amd gpu drivers from windows control panel and use ddu to clean up the rest and restart

then swap gpus, and install the correct nvidia driver

Thx, only have 12GB left on C: is why I ask really. That'll be the next upgrade :)

Some games do "hiccup" when you switch GPUs though; if that occurs after changing GPU and installing the Drivers; simply delete the config file for the effected game that refuses to start (again if this issue comes up) and then relaunching the game and re-configure the game settings, etc. should resolve the issue with that game.

C drive is running low; uninstall some things or off-load some files to another drive to make room. Do not let C drive get that full. Allow the drive to always have 10-15% free space

Confirmed, AMD Cleaner utility, swapping cards and installing new drivers was all it took, Steam games worked right away.

How did you get only 12 GB disk space left? Small 60 GB SSD? You should upgrade that. But anyway, just don't forget to configure the NVIDIA control panel.

By installing big games on the SSD where they belong ;)

I know about the preferred graphics card setting, don't have an APU or motherboard graphics.
