Building a computer off cyberpowerpc or ibuypower
So I've been doing some research and I was thinking about building a gaming pc. I went and did some research for cyberpowerpc and ibuypower since you picked out the parts and the company assembled it for you. I read some reviews and they were pretty scary. People said that sometimes the computer came back defective with broken parts, the pc wasn't assembled correctly etc. So I've been wondering if those reviews are fake because my friend built a $1700 pc off cyberpowerpc and it runs great. So I'm still not sure if I should build a pc off that website? Any suggestions?

All I can say is I got mine from iBuypower. Happy with it. 3 years old and still can run/play the new DOOM (at 1080p). well, ok.... I'm installing DOOM now, but I'm sure it will handle the game. I've built a couple computers before but the price I got from iBuypower was actually lower than putting together the PC myself.

They are both the same parent company; to which is to say "Stay away from them"
They are horrible to say the least. It can be fine if you pick good parts from the start, but then again you can do all that without their help, or need for such folks, period. They are very bad at overall customer support or actual help; so again, why would you choose them.

Yeah i've been reading reviews on their service and it's not so good. I don't really know how to build a pc which is why I was thinking about having them build it for me.

If you can do a little reading, u can build a PC.

If you want help, just ask.

All a brand like them will do is assemble the PC, a 10 year old can do that just fine. Now installing the OS, they don't do that. And even if they do, once it reaches the Desktop that as far as they go when comes to most of these OEM brands. Basically they have a clone of the OS already made up, they clone the OS to the drive and enter your OS product key; that is basically it. Very few actually run your system through it's paces, proper driver installs, stress-testing, burn-in-testing, etc.

How much of a budget range did you seriously have in mind?
I mean were u really going to spend $1700. That is fine, but for what exactly.

What all did you need besides the main desktop system;

As far as reviews, well look; alot of good products have bad-reviews, it's usually because the user has no idea about the product or how to use it. That's about as far as I'll go, because well it might get out of hand, and no one wants that. Basically if you got a good product and it has worked great for you, so be it.

If you don't mind a terrible PSU and awful fans, go ahead with Cyberpower or IBuyPower. You could always build it yourself, I know you are worried, but there are so many guides on the internet, it's easier than ever before.

Cyberpower is good... but only if the PC works. If it is dead on arrival or stops working then good luck getting it fixed, their policy is such that you will need to pay return shipping and wait forever to get it fixed. And their build quality is terrible usually.

Better to get a prebuilt from Newegg if you are going that route. I would say Amazon, since they have the best support, but their PCs are at least $100 overpriced or more compared to Newegg's HP or Asus PCs.

If you want a custom designer PC then go with EcollegePC instead. I would feel a lot more assured getting a $1700 PC from EcollegePC because it has a "working on arrival" guarantee.

my budget range was about $700 the games I am mainly going to be playing is cs:go and league of legends

yeah i've been watching a few video's of people building their pc and it doesn't look so hard, i just need to be careful and not break anything
