EDIT: And that "tip" is probably just a bait to install some malware.
AFAIK the gui boot option is for showing the Windows bootloader. This will only show up if you have multiple operating sytems installed.
Disabling sytem services/programs from running in the background I understand, but agian will result probably sod all difference in fps. Like single digits difference unless your cpu is potatoe.
The turd then decides to game at 1024x768 with minium graphical settings. HELLO! That is why you can game at 300fps!!!

F8 still does work for Win10; it's all about Keyboard timing; as Win10 loads rather fast, so you have to be fairly quick at hitting F8 during the boot process. Once you see the Win10 animated logo screen; it is already too late.
