Windows 10 Upgrade Crash
Hi. I'm trying to upgrade my Windows 7 to Windows 10 and when Windows 10 is installing at the copying files part my computer does a quick restart and then crashes at the Windows 10 intro. I keep getting this error code...

Error Code: C1900101 -30017

I deleted my anti-virus and reinstalled my Windows 7 but still the upgrade keeps crashing. I would appreciate if someone could help me out here.

Have you updated your BIOS?

Also, a clean installation is best. The upgrade process can cause many issues down the line. If you have your Windows 7 key, you can just download the Win10 media creation tool and install via USB or DVD.
are you using windows update to install Win10?
if so, you could try the tool instead, see if you have better luck with that.

If you decide to do a Clean Install, make sure you have your network card drivers ready as Win10 may or may not have default drivers for your NIC.

Also, disconnect any other USB devices aside from the mouse and keyboard just incase that could be a possible cause.

Hey well I have an Alienware Aurora R3 PC and it appears that its an issue with the BIOS. I just found out that Dell hasn't released a BIOS update for this product in years so thats why its not playing nicely with Windows 10. I heard there are some loopholes to get around the issue but it would still have some issues with the OS. I guess i'll just stick with Windows 7...
