Best Motherboard for the i7 6900k
Guys, which is the best motherboard for the X99 platform?

I do NOT care about:
-Price
-Manufactuer
-Overclocking Support

I DO care about
-Looks
-Temperature
-Best Performance
-Features
-I/O
-Storage and RAM support

It HAS to:
-Be an ATX
-Work perfectly with a GTX 1080
-Look sexy as ♥♥♥♥

Thanks guys in advance

any 2011-3 board

but if its for gaming, you will be better off with 6700k and z170 board
games dont need 8 cores with ht and the lower speed will not be as good as 4 fast cores with ht

Unless you want to use SLI/CF.

only a few games can use sli/cfx anyway

and for those that do your still better off with a better gpu vs more of them

the $500+ price diff between 6900k and 6700k will allow you to get a titan x pascel gpu instead of the 1080

The risk is you might look like a goose buying a 6900k for gaming if looking sexy as xxx is a requirement.

i love mine and it meets my sexy requirement...

don't listen too much to people telling you you only need an I5 for gaming...you don't need a 100K car to go 50mph either but people still buy expensive cars because they can and want to.

i dont really want to get a worse cpu, as i plan on future proofing this rig with the best parts i can get without going into server class parts such as the xeon's or the intel 'x' series or the titans

what about the loss of the 4 cores that you get with the 6700k

HT is more than enough for the few games that actually use more than 4 threads.
