Csgo fps drop to 20 - 200+ with Amd fx 8320e with gtx 750ti ftw edition(solved)
I really have no clue whats going i can't even play dm so i tested out that the more players there are in a server the less fps but in a empty server with just only one player no bots i get over 200+ but when i add bots up to 5v5 it starts to go down to 20 - 50 fps help if you know how to fix.

that the amd cpu factor

csgo only uses 2 cores and likes core performance

more players = higher cpu load, amd cant keep up with 16+ player matches

solution is simple, move to a pentium g/i3/i5/i7 for csgo
with the same gpu, you will not get the low fps since thats not limited by the gpu in your case

That's just nonsense... I have a CS:GO machine with a crappy Phenom II and I got a solid 130fps with a worse GPU than that. Admitively, Intel are just better, but the OP shouldn't be getting huge FPS drops like that.
Did you made any change to the hardware or installed some specific program before the FPS drop?
Did you made some updates?
Checked for malware or virus?
Do you have an HDD or a SSD?

Yeah I have to agree, My 8350 goes well over 200 fps even in 32+ man servers.. There is no reason for dips this bad.

Practice have you recently installed the newest Nvidia driver ? It doesnt play nice with a bunch of games..

No it's not. Why do you always jump in with this?

Do you even play CS:GO? On an AMD CPU?

I'm guessing not because if you did I'm sure you wouldn't be so adamant that 20fps is normal for AMD hardware. Complete nonsense.

I've noticed a lot of these performance issues have cropped up recently. People with good fps suddenly having issues out of the blue. I can't say for sure it's driver related but I would think that's a good place to start.

(I dont think it's game-related because I haven't been impacted... but I also haven't updated my video drivers in months. :steammocking:)

Yeah the new Nvidia driver tanked my fps in a few games before i reverted back.. No Man's sky was 90+ fps 1080p maxed and after the update 50-60 and stuttered to all heck.. Black ops 3 maxed with the extra settings 100-120 fps in 1080p down to 60-70.. Reverted back and back to 368.81 and back to normal numbers..

Indeed, he's an Intel fanboy, lol...
But yeah, roll back of drivers is recommended (Use DDU). Also, try running HWMonitor and check for throttling (Temperature spikes will cause this).

Could be this. It was just a month or two ago someone with the exact same problem claimed that their heatsink turned out to be clogged with dust. Cleaning it solved the issue.

I tried going through my post history but couldn't find the thread.
