CPU Upgrade
Hey guys, so I currently have a i3 2120 and I'm planning to upgrade it, but my main problem is the motherboard, which is a MSI H61M-P20 (G3). What CPU should I buy that is going to work with this mobo?

you going to need new motherboard for different chipset cpus and sockets

Not really, I've seen some good CPUs that are working with this mobo but I dont know which one should I get.

You're limited to 2nd/3rd generation chips, so 2xxx/3xxx i5/i7s (non-k cpus).

Anything newer and yes, you will need a new motherboard and possibly RAM.

most 2nd gen i3 1155 boards can take 2nd-3rd gen i3/i5/i7 1155 cpus
may need a bios update for the 3xxx cpu
