I have a Logitech mouse and a Microsoft keyboard, they were affordable, are well manufactured and their software simply works without requiring registration, or being online.
Yep. All of this. I've owned three Razer products. A keyboard that was defective out of the box. A mouse that failed within a few days out of the box. And a set of Tiamat headphones... which aren't terrible I guess... but still feel cheaply made and are apparently notorious for failing as well (driver buzz/rattle).
You may like your Kraken headset, but it is rather poor quality. You could have purchased a separate pair of headphones and a mic with better quality on both ends.
Their keyboards use proprietary switches that just straight blow. Their QA on soldering is rather poor, too.
Their mice are decent. No real complaints, other than soldering and general QA issues.
Razer REALLY needs to step up their soldering game. Tired of fixing these things.
They also need to work on their software. It is junk and is notorious for causing many, many issues.. Even so bad to affect game performance.
Think of Razer like Beats. Beats are just overpriced junk, due to how hard they hit the market with advertising, endorsing, etc.
Corsair is okay. They use Cherry switches and even have Cherry making a few special switches specifically for them. They have better QA, but not by much.
For keyboards, go for Cherry switches. Brand doesn't matter too much.
For mice, go for optical. Laser works too, but optical can manage lower latency easier. The best sensors are basically all optical. Logitech is king for mice, managing the only wireless mouse to have latency similar to high end wired mice. They also have great QA.

That STRAFE is an excellent keyboard. Currently using one with the silent switches and love it.
I bought a Razer Naga Epic in mid 2014. It only lasted about a year before physically falling apart - the mouse wheel axle was mounted very loosely, and one day it just fell out. The mouse wheel rolled across my desk and neatly fell in the bin.
After that I bought a Saitek/MadCatz RAT TE. And it's perfect. It cost about half as much as the Razer, but after over a year of hard use I haven't had any issues at all.
If nothing else, my experience with Razer taught me to never judge a brand by it's image.
It will also depend on how you us it. Say if in game and you get killed and you slam it down because you got killed and you keep on doing that it will start breaking no matter what brand mouse.
Refurb Razer Carcharias-Left ear stopped working due to bad solder (Wire disconnected from solder) But it was a refurb, so meh.
Razer Deathadder, Scroll Wheel broke off after around 8 months.
Razer Naga, Ok mouse, wasn't very comfortable with thumbpad buttons, seemed too close together.
Razer Orca headphones, Same fault as the Carcharias, After a few months, the wire disconnected from the solder, left ear stopped working. These were new.
Razer Tron mouse. Ok this thing is badass, no complaints at all.
Razer Deathadder 2013, Same as the original Deathadder, Scroll wheel broke off after about a year.
Razer Goliathus Mouse Pad, Great pad, going strong after 3 years use.
It saddens me that the build quality is lacking a bit, because I havent had a more comfortable headset than the razer ones, and the deathadder fits my hand perfectly.
Meanwhile, My Sennheiser 201s have been doing great for 3 years.
My Logitech MX 518 has no appreciable decline in quality from when I first got it 6 years ago, and the G400s I bought for the Higher DPI has been going strong for 2.
Most Razer products are badly priced for what they actually are/do.
When choosing a product I usually read a lot of customer reviews, and, judging by these reviews, some Razer models have serious flaws in their quality/reliability. On the other hand, other Razer models get very good reviews. It depends on a model, so people should visit websites like www.amazon.com and read customer reviews before they buy anything computer-related.
There is such an assortment of quality RGB keyboards that meet or exceed the standards of Razor it's not even funny. And yes I also dislike Razor due to their quality, and tbh, it bothers me when I see "Razor fanatics" all decked out in green crap, lol. It just bothers me that people follow a brand like that so wholeheartedly when in fact, it's all rubbish. It's for the entry level "I just don't care what I actually buy, but look! ridiculous appearances and green!" crowd, but that's just one person's opinion.
