Nothing wrong with PNY.

PNY is more of just a Refence version of the GPUs; no good after-market models.
If you are looking at PNY for a new GTX 1000 series, then just go to Geforce.com and purchase it from NVIDIA directly.

PNY is not bad at all. i have run a few cards and storage from them with no issues.

I never had an issue with PNY, ran a couple 460's in SLI back when they 1st came out and they did me great for a while and currently have a XLR8 240gb SSD that's been running great as well for over a year now..
LOL i ran 2 gtx480s from pny and they ran so hot. i still have them and they still run.

The Fermi and Kepler chips were known to be pretty power hungry. NVIDIA products doesn't become power efficient until the Maxwell era.

LOL, that was 480, to which I must say, pretty much ALL ran hot due to ridiculous power consumption; both reference and after-market ones.
