Microsoft Office for example
Try this firstly:
click Cortana search box, type command
when u see Command Prompt as a result, right click that and click on Run As Admin
in the Command Prompt window, type
SFC /SCANNOW
and let it scan til completed
The result said that: "Window Resource protection did not find any integrity violations".
Any other idea of fixing it?
As it has happened after a windows update, it is possible that the windows update hasn't installed properly. Open the control panel check for any failed updates. My pc currently has a message "We can't install some updates because other updates are in progress. Restarting your computer may help, and we'll keep trying to update." Your pc may be retrying to install something.
Another option is to give your cards a jiggle in case its a poor electrical contact e.g. you unplugged the monitor cable which wobbled the gpu card.
I'm glad I am not the only one with the problem at least!
I did a fresh install to ssd for Win10. Doing so added a new pseudo disk (AHCI I think) to the bios list of drives. So I had AHCI Windows, Drive c (SSD) and drive e (HDD).
When booting the system would stop with a message on screen saying no boot device (or similar). I manually reset the boot disk to the AHCI drive about 4 times before the problem disappeared. I also unplugged and replugged in the drives.
The rules engine reported a failed VL activation attempt.

Any idea what it means?
