Make sure to not bend the material.
Yea don't do that, if u slip you risk severely scratching your motherboard.
connectors such as the 24pin, 4+4pin and GPU connectors; should have clips on them. Ensure you are pressing on this fully before u attempt to remove/pull the connector out.
Ones like 24pin can be a bit stiff, try a slight rocking back and forth motion while holding down its clip and attempting to pull it out. And put one hand to grip the motherboard edge, so you are not having all the stress be on the motherboard while attempting to remove such connectors.
yup , if you scratch the MB you run the risk of severing a trace on the Mb , or several ,and you will end up with a dead MB.
sometimes you need to push down on the connector to get the clip to release then pull up on it by slightly rocking it a bit.
I would have broken several motherboards or grafic cards pulling a bad plug.
So i recommend lifting the plug.
You make sure to not do a force that could in any way cause a movement of scratching. Common sense.
