ISSUE FOUND BUT NOT SOLVED - Kernel_Security_Check_Failure on a brand new Lenovo Y700 (15 inch)
Got that blue screen of death in the title 3 times today. First time it happened when I was installing Far Cry 4 on the laptop and it was finding old files meanwhile I went to task bar. Second time was when I exited Dead Space 3 and went to Resource manager do switch some settings. Third time was when I went to play Rainbow Six: Siege.

What's going?

type this in the explorer address bar and go here:

Control Panel\System and Security\Security and Maintenance

MAINTENANCE - view reliability history

at the bottom of the windows it should says "view all problem reports" at the very top and any instance you find on the day of the crash view it an past it here. Use some discretion with the info though.

ok change your system settings of memory dumps to a smaller size.

what os architecture do you have x86 or x64?
I suggest to call Microsoft answer desk and chat with them about it post the report to them or show them

Alright thanks. I hope this works.

Well, I changed the dump size to the smallest one. I was playing a game just fine for maybe 4 hours.

Then after maybe 6-7 hours when I was just on Firefox doing nothing intensive, my computer crashed once again. This is starting to get really damn annoying

ah, one of the events you've posted have something to do with a compatability issue I think. Like I said before, it would be better if you asked Microsoft since it's one of their programs having difficulty.
MaDShadoW 7/ago./2016 às 14:10
Seriously look for new drivers on lenovo's site not only the dgpu drivers matter I saw that it has win 10 only drivers for some hardware components

Yeah I already sent my issue to the Microsoft support page.

I downloaded the Intel Update tool and downloaded bluetooth and intel wlan drivers. I have to yet install them though. I'll check the other drivers today

I think perhaps the Windows operating system is conflicting with one of Lenovo's pre-installed drivers. Look for all the updates on Lenovo, not just graphics. Also if Lenovo have it's own GTX driver version it may be better to use theirs rather than NVidia's official. Have a look at Task Scheduler and look at the stuff the machine has been set to do at random times because some of those things may actually be a hindrence. You could try disabling Lenovo's services that you don't need running, they like to bundle their laptops with all there stuff that has been known to be outdated

Yeah I'm right now looking for updates for my components. Also NVIDIA's drivers are always better as the factory driver of the 960m was some version 353.xx. I'm pretty sure that driver is sometime from early last year.

So after some time, this one guy was able to figure out that the problem was caused by "Xbox One's DC1 Controller Kernel-Mode Driver Framework (KMDF) driver dc1_controller.sys"
Spanky 10/ago./2016 às 7:48
Oh. I had this problem before. I unplugged the Xbox controller and removed the drivers from the device manager. restarted the pc. updated the Xbox app and updated the drivers for the Xbox controller. make sure that you select in the settings of windows update under advanced settings and give me updates for other Microsoft products. If the Xbox app won't update remove it through the windows store and get it again.
