Powering my gtx 560?
I'm building a cheap/ newish but rather old computer out of some core 2 duo parts I had plus some new stuff like a psu, case and gpu. I'm building this computer because why not. I only spent $160 to build it and it should play all the games that I care about even if I decide to add more ram and a quad core cpu it still suits my needs. I don't really care for anything newer because I'm not so big on big title games. So I just got my evga gtx 560 2GB gpu in the mail today and I noticed that it had a 2 x 6 pin psu connector on it and my logisys 550watt psu. My psu only has 1 x 6 pin psu connector. According to the psu packaging that 1 x 6 pin provides 12v and 25 amps. I'm not sure if just that alone is enough to power that card but I also have 2 x 4 pin psu connectors and two molex psu connectors. I was wondering if it were possible to scrape by with that one 6 pin or if I got a 2 molex/ 4 pin to 1 x 6 pin adapter if it would work ok?

**Note about that psu**

I've read both good and bad reviews about that power supply but I speculate that people are buying those to cram into new or higher end builds. These units appear to be useful for old, low/ med spec desktops or desktops that are used by avg users at home or in the office.

2X 6-pin means you need 2X 6-pin. Sorry mate.

You may have problems with the CPU and RAM bottlenecking the graphics card. You may also need to change PSU, you'll need 2X 6-pin connectors for that GPU to work.

get a better power supply
logisys is not good at all

corsair cx430 is better and can power the 560
its often $40/20ar on newegg

or evga 500b-600b are often $40-50 on amazon

Logisys = toss it in the trash (recycle it properly though), never buy ones like those.

Yeah you know what I agree with you. I read a bunch of reivews on the product last night and it seems to only work ok as a replacement in old (5-7 year old) business desktops. So I started a return for that cheap psu and I ordered a used Antec 750watt Truepower psu on eBay. I was surprised that it only cost me $15 more and it was a good working unit according to the seller. It was just missing the power cable which I just so happen to have.

I decided to throw in a Q9300 cpu into the cart with my new used Antec psu. I will probably order 8gb of ram which is only under $20 now next month or two.
