GTX 690 vs 780 Ti
Hi, I built a new PC but didn't buy the graphics card yet. I was gonna get the GTX 1060 but it's way too expensive here so I decided to go with an old used card. Everyone I asked tells me to get 780 Ti but in some of the videos i watched 690 beats 780 Ti. What do you guys suggest?

GTX 690 = $220 (converted price)
Zotac GTX 780 Ti AMP! = $285 (converted price)

GTX 690 doesn't have a box, 780 Ti has box, accessories and still have some warranty left.
I'm probably going to use them for 2-3 or maybe 4 years, only for gaming.
(The main reason I don't want to give up on 690 is its look, come on it looks awesome.)
Thanks.

Why not? Kepler is still decent.

I have a Gtx 770 with 4GB of VRAM and can't get a stable 60 fps at 1080P so I'm actually thinking of upgrading to a Gtx 980Ti which gives me 2GB extra VRAM to play all games at ultra settings 1080P while getting 100+ fps.

Of course you won't get 60 fps at 1080p, 770 is slightly worse than a GTX 960.

The Gtx 770 is slightly better than a Gtx 960.

No it's not. But either way you can't get 60 fps at 1080p(ultra or even sometimes high) with them.

Imo dont waste that good power of the CPU with an old GPU maybe you should save up for this? http://www.vatanbilgisayar.com/msi-gtx1060-gaming-x-6g-gddr5-192bit-nvidia-geforce-dx12-ekran-karti.html or if you really cant do that get the 780Ti

You can get GTX 980 for under $300; how does that not fit into your budget?
And would be much better than anything from 600/700 series.

Or get a new GTX 1060 6GB for around $300

I guess you missed the part where he said prices are double here lol. He is not from the country where prices go down instantly after new gen releases and you get ton of deals. Nope cheapest 980 is 600$ does that look cheap to you? Tho i agree with 1060 suggestion it is also 430$ converted but stands as a best choice

Alright, thanks. I guess 690 is a bad option, I just really like Nvidia's dual-gpu design. I'll wait a bit more and see if 1060 drops at least a $50 more.

Well in some other videos it's the opposite but not by a big difference.

I used to own a 690, I sold it last year and upgraded to a 980 Ti. The 690 is more powerful than a 780 Ti, I could often beat standard 980's in benchmarks.

Problem with the 690 is its limited Vram, 2GB is no where near enough for modern games. I know the 780 Ti only has 3GB, but that extra gig makes a world of difference.
