Fan connectors
So all my fans have three connectors, but my motherboard has 4. I'm not sure which I shouldn't use.

Out of these 4 fan connectors on the motherboard, which 3 should I use?

1)
GND
CPU fan pwr
CPU fan in
CPU fan pwm

2)
GND
CHA fan pwr
CHA fan in
+5v

You can see where the clip on the fan port is. If your plug has 3 connectors you need to put it in such that it clips down.
4-pin PWM Fan pin-outs

For 3-pin fans, you shouldn't worry cause the 4-pin is keyed in a way so 3-pin can't be plugged in wrong; for example http://www.erodov.com/forums/imagehosting/16546da8dd1bfde1.jpg

The clip/tab acts as a guide for both 3/4pin fans.
DO NOT plug in a fan backwards, the voltage would be reversed and this can kill the fan header or the fan.

Ernmmm what's backwards for fan connectors?
There is only 1 way a Fan will fit into these Connectors.

I guess your MB only has PWM (4pin) connectors,
so you can plug in 3 and 4 pin Fans.
Well it is possible to plug them in backwards, but again you would visually see that you are doing so, because the fan connector on both fan and motherboard are keyed.

It is also possible to park a big ship on the shore.
Once.

Its really hard to put anything in the false direction.
