If you lagged before the upgrade then it's likely your CPU/GPU isn't up to the job of running that game.

If the lagg began only after you installed the RAM then you have either installed the RAM incorrectly (may not be seated corrected, etc) or the RAM may be faulty in which case it would be wise to run a memtest.

Well my 4g ram before was DDR2 and this 8g ram is DDR3 and i haven't had DDR3 ram in my computer before and i don't know if theres something to install like a driver for DDR3 and also i've downloaded the latest BIOS and it hasn't done anything...
Would you mind to post your full mainboard title?
Are you single using the DDR3 Stick or do you try to combine them and use both at the same time? (~Incompability)
Otherwise, I can't see any problem why this doesn't work..

Could you also tell us EXACTLY what type of ram sticks you're currently using? … Like Bourbon asked above, are you trying to combine the old ram with the new?!?!
I'm not trying to combine to combine the old and the new. This is the exact ram: Ballistix Sport XT 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) UDIMM 240-Pin Memory - BLS2C4G3D169DS3CEU
And do you have an AM3+ CPU? … (Since AM3+ CPUs can support only DDR3 memory)
Maybe double-check your bios settings?

I've left new DDR3 1600MHz ram running at 1333MHZ for several months until I *finally* noticed it and manually changed it from the default bios setting.

that board does not support fx cpus
its an ancient athlon64/orig phenom chipset, modded to run aii/pii

if its an athlon64 or orig phenom (am2/am2+) cpu, it does not have the ddr3 imc and cant use ddr3

aii/pii have the ddr2 and ddr3 imc, am3+ only have the ddr3 imc

if its an am3 cpu, you should have picked an am3 mobo not am2/am2+, for native ddr3 support and a proper chipset

A couple days ago i put my 4g ram in the one that didn't lag before i put the 8g ram in. So when i put my 4g ram in and when on a game CS:GO and it still lagged the same as what it lagged like with the 8g ram
While I have never had issues with using various RAM on any of my motherboards, but it could be possible the RAM isn't compatible with your board and causing you issues. You can look through the list of known working RAM with your motherboard here[www.asrock.com].

When I look through the list of compatible DDR3 1600 RAM that works with your motherboard, the "Ballistix Sport XT 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) UDIMM 240-Pin Memory - BLS2C4G3D169DS3CEU" you purchased is not one of them. There are not many on the list for DDR3 1600, so it is possible the RAM you have just won't work correctly on your board.
But before my 4g ram worked amazingly before i put in my 8g ram it was only after the 4g started lagging aswell
Right this may be the last thing im going to try. So what im going to do is try a better processor than my own one because it might not handle the ram or something my processor is the: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 3.20 GHz
