If you are on small budget then GTX 950.
GTX 960 4 Gb version would be somewhere in the middle of those.
i just need a better GPU rly, but if this is the best i can get then i guess i'll just keep playing mmo's and 2013 games.
Thanks, like really, this rly helps,(Sorry if this sounds sarcastic)
But you should OC your CPU or it will bottleneck.
If lower budget, GTX 970 or RX 480.
Nothing from AMD.
AMD 480 is roughly same price as GTX 1060 6GB anyways.
Hey I got a 390x for less than MSRP, love it. Doesn't have as much balls as it's direct competitor for its weight class (970/980), but it's stable as a rock, and trust me I run it max OC 24/7 more/less. I've never had driver issues, crashing issues, hardware issues, nothing really tbh.
My picks would be:
Budget:
AMD - 290x
N - 7xx
Budget Mid:
N - 960/70
Budget High:
N - 1060/70
Pro mid:
amd - 390x
N - 980
Pro high:
N - 1080
I do kind of agree to a point though, Nvidia does have the performance edge at each tier usually. I'd avoid that new 3GB 1060 like aids though, you'll need more than that ram for the near future. Get something with 4GB ram, and look at the rams bandwidth, you'll find that your gpu never reaches its max potential frequency, usually, because it's waiting for the ram. What is usually the performance factor is the ram and the frequency of it. I've noticed in several of amd and Ns cards that you get bottlenecked on the card by ram frequency before you ever get the gpu wide open. This varies game to game of course, but it's extremely common, like 8.5/10.
This
But i would consider upping to a decent Powersupply as well though.
Not a GTX 730, there is no such thing so they messed up on the name.
And No
The MINIMUM GPU you want is a GTX 750 Ti or a GTX 950
The Maximum would be a GTX 1060
But either way, i wouldnt upgrade to a higher end card without upgrading the power supply first.
Sadly though, The Graphics Card,Ram and HDD is just about the only thing i'm willing to change within the PC, i'll settle for the 750 Ti, thanks -Gives thumbs up-
GTX 950 or 960 will do fine in most games, even on High @ 1080p
Go on Ebay! 900 series GPUs are like even GTX 970 are under $200; lower models much cheaper. Don't get a 750 Ti.
