Old Computer new GPU
Im about to upgrade my computer with a new graphicscard
Will a Nvidia gtx 1060 work properly with my old parts? (6 years old computer)

Specs
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth P67
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM

Should be fine, people have been running GTX 1080 with this CPU.

My concern is that my motherboard has pci-e 2.0 slots and the card has 3.0

thats irrelevant, they are backwards compatible.
And 3.0 really only makes a difference in multi GPU setups.

6950 is a 200w gpu

1060 will be alot stronger and alot less power draw

You might want to check both your motherboard and your case. If your new GPU is incompatible, or if it simply won't fit in the case, you're screwed.

6950 was a long card, over 10in
1060 should be shorter

You can order the reference card from Nvidia direct, it needs only one 6-pin.

If you already bought the card then there are 8-pin to 2x 6-pin adapters.
