if you are using a tv/monitor with internal speakers check the sound settings and untick swap left/right
Are you wearing the headphones the right way? Sounds silly, but this needs to be established.
Do the headphones output sound the correct way when plugged into a different device?
Do the headphones have a detachable cable and, if they do, is it pushed in all the way into the headphones?
What motherboard and/or sound card are you using?
Do you have a different pair of headphones or speakers you can plug into the computer for comparison?
What headphones are you using? Do they have a built-in mic with a single 3.5mm audio connector or dual 3.5mm audio connectors?
-Yes im wearing them correctly.
-Yes they do for other devices. I listened to this video
-No the cable stays in the headphones

-headphones https://www.amazon.com/SA-708-Stereo-Headphone-Headset-Microphone/dp/B00DU2CHE2 i was on a tight budget when i got these but they do the trick
Is Audio Channels set to Stereo? Also, if you click Test, does the audio come out of the correct side as indicated by the graphic on the right side of the window? You can also click on the icon for each individual speaker to play a test tone.
If you do, you should have the Realtek HD Audio Manager running in the system tray down by the clock. Open it.
First make sure that the jack assignment is correct. It should show you all the available audio jacks and the ones that have something plugged into them should be lit up or brighter than the others. Click the one that the headphones are plugged into and make sure the assignment is set to Headphones.
Second, make sure that the speaker configuration is set to Stereo in the Realtek HD Audio Manager.
Then i think to myself "heck why not try pluging it into the microphone jack and telling the audio manager that it was teh headphones i just put into the mic jack. So i do this and boom, now audio is coming out the correct sides 0_o Why this is happening, no idea, but now i just have to plug my mic in the headphone slot and if it works then problem solved!
