Watercooling question
Hey im working out the last bits of my new build, and am wondering if the NZXT Kraken x41 will fit properly in the NZXT Manta. PCPartPicker seems to have an issue with it, but I haven't seen any information online that proved/disproves their compatability. I know the x61 is supported, but idk about the x41 or x31.

On a side note, how is overclocking with an Asus H110I-PLUS D3/CSM Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard? I have a feeling its a crap motherboard, but its literally the only lga1151 mobo that has a mini itx form factor that i could find that accepts 240pin DIMM RAM.

If you know of a lga1151 mini itx mobo >$80 good for overclocking, let me know.

Thanks for any help, sorry for typos i wrote this late at night on my phone. Someone please tell me that this is a stupid questions, I'm probably overthinking this.

No such thing as a stupid question. Stupid would be throwing the parts together and saying "meh, it'll work - they're all parts for computers afterall!"
For the first question, it should fit. From the NZXT website, the x41 is a 140mm rad, and the Manta supports 280mm rads on the front and top faces

For the second question, you can't overclock on H110. You need a Z170 board and an unlocked CPU to overclock.
There are no Z170 M-ITX boards that support DDR3, so you will have to go with DDR4. All of these[pcpartpicker.com] are M-ITX Z170 boards that fit your criteria of >$80

If you are planning on using DDR3 RAM, then make sure it is low voltage, NOT 1.5 or 1.65V
why do you want to use ddr3 ram on skylake?
you need 1.35v ddr3 for it to work without kiling the cpu

just get a ddr4 itx board and new ram that will work with it

edit what ram?
240 pin is ddr2 (desktop)
204 is ddr3 so-dimm (notebook)

there are several z170 itx boards that can overclock k cpus

Yeah the ram is from an earlier build, i was trying to cheap out and reuse it. Honestly it didn't register in my brain it was a skylake cpu so i must have just brain farted on that xD

Thanks for the clarification and help with parts! 1:00am just isnt prime time to be planning pc builds :p
