What is your guess at a GTX1080Ti release date?
As title, I currently have a Zotac GTX 980Ti Amp! Extreme, clocked @1455Mhz (on stock air). So it's not much slower than a regular GTX1080 hence why I'll not upgrade yet. But If Zotac can really push the limit on the 1080Ti's then I'll probably get one. What was the time difference between the 980 release and the 980Ti release?

i haven't seen any details or rumors (I think?) and I don't see a reason to simply guess.

Well would an educated guess not be at least something. For instance of there was x amount of months between release of 890 and 890Ti, and the about the same between 980 and 980Ti etc. Do they have a schedule or is it just very random?

Im curious as well, I have two 980TI Amp Extremes and hoping the 1080Ti will be rocking so I only need one GPU to play at 4k @60fps.....

The problem with that is at some generations the Ti card came before the other top of the line card and in some it didn't.

Right now we can be sure the 1080Ti won't release before the 1080 though so now that guess is easier.

Mid-way to the next generation would make sense because then Nvidia can launch two "top of the line" cards and sell them to more people than if they just released all cards at once where the people who wanted the best would just upgrade once.
If NVidia follows its normal roll out scheme I would expect a 1060 and a Titan before a 1080ti. So it could be well over a year until a 1080ti sees the light of day.

Ok, that's the answer I was looking for, thank you.

At least 3rd quarter 2017. Volta won't come out until 2018. They have to space releases for months to keep interest/profits up.

Makes me wonder if they alread yhave the future tech just sitting on shelves waiting to be massed produced when AMD cards get close in performance.

There is no confirmed data that a GTX 1080ti will ever be released. Everything is speculation. Therefore, there is no way we can speculate when one will be available.

No way it will be later than Q3 2017, likely before that.

The Internet speculation was spot on with GTX 1080 release like three months before it actually released or something such.

GTX980 was released in September 2014.
GTX980ti was released in June 2015.
GTX1080 was released in May 2016.

Always less than a year before a new top end gpu. So i would guess the 1080ti will come sometime between February and March of 2017. Or at least i hope so. My gtx1080FE is nice, but still not quite enough for me so i would like a ti version.
2012 03, GTX 680
2012 04, GTX 690 (2xGK104)

2013 02, Titan
2013 05, GTX 780
2013 11, GTX 780Ti
2014 02, Titan Black
2014 03, Titan Z (2xGK110)

2014 09, GTX 980
2015 03, Titan X
2015 06, GTX 980Ti

2016 05, GTX 1080

As can be seen Titan has been released both before and after both 80 and 80Ti cards. 90 and Ti cards always after 80 card.

2017 04, Titan (???)
2017 06, GTX 10?80Ti?

Of course guessing would be guessing.

As far as I could remember I hadn't seen anything and if it mentioned something then then I would be guessing right?

The one you linked doesn't mentioned a date either (details or rumors was related to A DATE, not the GPUs/the card.)
