Wired XBOX 360 Controller Not reconised on Windows 10(Solved)

I honestly have no idea anymore, when I got this controller in december it worked fine when I plugged it in, now it shows up as an Unknown USB Device(Device Descriptor Request Failed) after I updated my Laptop.

Sounds like it's damaged. The drivers for 360 pads are included with windows 10, so you should be able to plug 'n' play.

That's how it worked for me anyway.

Maybe someone will google this in the future and find this helpful:

I had the same problem and unplugged and replugged in the little connector towards the end of the cord. The circular bit. Fixed instantly.

you still having that issue ? ik how to fix it cuz recently the 1909 ruin it again but i know the fix for it .

most likely a bad cable
does it work on the x360 console or other pc?
test it with joy.cpl

does the port with with other devices?
