Look, EVGA is one of the best PSU companies. I have an 80+ ONLY PSU, and it has worked fine for a while
Wait I'm so dumb not EVGA why did I type that. My point is it's from a reliable company, and it's 80+ bronze. It's FINE. And the 390 outperforms the 970

would it be better for me to buy a pre built one as i do not know how to build a computer and am worried that the parts may be wrong etc
There's pre-built one and decent prices too so feel free to do that. Right now it's hard to get the new Nvidia cards and the lower end cards haven't even arrived, the AMD cards is less often used in pre-built system and you can't get a system with it right now but I assume you will be.

This is a pretty good build, better cpu and gpu
The gpu has a ton of vram, so it's futureproof
Is a powerful machine.

Most people would suggest an SSD but that increase the price, I would suggest getting the RX 480 instead of the R9 390 once released, possibly the 470.

To save money I would eventually not had included the EVO 212 but I don't know how well the stock cooler cools.

On a H110 motherboard with just two slots I would kinda had wanted to put 2x8 GB of RAM rather than 2x4 since it can't be upgraded by just adding another two.

HGST may have good drives.

The webpage doesn't lood appropriately for me.

non k cpu does not need aftermarket cooler

no ssd

r9 390 is a power hog, will destroy the poor quality cm psu and blow up the entire build

You don't need an ssd. Also you're right I accidentally added the cooler after getting rid of a k cpu. R9 390 is not THAT power hungry. It can run on 550 watts. "Low quality"? No, this is a reliable psu. ITS 80+ BRONZE. AND ITS FROM EVGA. If a GTX 970, a slightly more power efficient gpu, runs on my 500w psu, then this SLIGHTLY less power efficient gpu can run on 550w.

It's irrelevant anyway since the RX 480 will have equal power and use less power.

There's no reason to get the R9 390 and it shouldn't be done.

Thinking of either buying nothing or AUD$375 ps4 as I already have a laptop so thus computer would be only for gaming so I can save money by doing this
On the other hand if you already own a PC with case, power supply unit, harddrive, keyboard and mouse then the replacement content to get a new PC in the range of a PS4 doesn't cost all that much.

It's a laptop not good for gaming
If you want simplicity go with a ps4
Tbh a ps4's optimization for games gives it an advantage over a cheap $600 PC. It's only worth getting a PC if you have more to spend
Cheap PC does ok and likely better than the console:

Too cheap PC really but it will do ok too:

Here you've got a $350 PC:
http://pcpartpicker.com/list/zgmLD8
If you then add the RX 470 for another $150 then I guess it can keep up with the Playstation 4.

Parts:
* Intel i3 6100
* MSI H110M Pro-VD
* Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR4-2133
* PNY CS1311 120 GB
* Hitachi Deskstar 7K2000 2 TB 3.5"
* Apevia X-QTIS-BK Micro-ATX midi-tower.
* EVGA 500B
(* RX 470)
= $500.

If you want it stronger replace the processor with i5 6400 or i5 6500 and the graphics card with RX 480. Feel free to pick 240 GB SSD for $20 more too. Want a lower price drop either of HDD or SSD, maybe increase to 240 GB SSD and drop the HDD or whatever.

I haven't looked much at either of the motherboard, the case of the SSD.

$10 more, twice as much storage and a faster(?) drive:

* OCZ Trion 150 240 GB instead.

skip the hdd and get a ssd
its easy to add a hdd when you need more space
and get a b150+ board with 4 dimm slots so its easy to add more ram

for under $500 you can get an i3 6100 build with a gtx 950
