Also even cheaper motherboards can game, they just have cheaper Chokes, VRM'S and MOSFET'S but won't impact gaming.
Would an "H" motherboard be better? I don't I always see people recomend an H or Z(for overclocking) motherboards.

Skylake: H110 < B150 < H170 < Z170

Haswell: H81 < B85 < H87/H97 < Z87/Z97

H81 and H110 doesn't offer as much compared to the higher end chipsets.

an i5 6500 I am not planning on over clocking either
motherboard itself is just a vessel to house your PC hardware it is of no important on gaming
