Why do some components on pcpartpicker not list a price
Like some os's and processors leave the price spot blank. Are they actually free? Like if I bought a blank Windows 7 I could upgrade to Windows 10 for free? I'm not building just curious

it does not always fine the component at all stores
and some sites/stoers have it marked as out of stock no longer available

Also some sites are horrible and won't show prices until they are placed in your cart and this can cause issues.

But yet right now if you buy win 7/8 you can and should do the free upgrade to win 10.

Some things are also in their database that might be in say: United States, but when u switch Region for your pricing; you see those items still in Database, but it has either no availability or pricing based on your region. Sometimes it is like the two folks above stated. It's not perfect... If especially region outside US/CAN/UK then I use PCPartPicker as a guide; then use local sites for those things not listing prices; then see if local stores/sites have them in your region.
