I realize that; but the guy is a senior and is "old school" if u will... explaining that stuff to him is way over his head, trust me.
There is no "memory card" it's just 8GB onboard flash, that is all.
USB should work for data; but it has to be a DATA cable; not a CHARGE ONLY cable.
Will get another one and see what happens.
This was the mistake alot of folks were making with trying to use XboxOne controller via USB cable as well.
I sometimes wish there are more Type C interface devices available already to double check these cables.
Something that should have done for USB to begin with. C-type doesn't matter which way u plug it in; and it's already small enough to have that right on your Tablet or Phone...
Just like the Mini HDMI and Mini-DP ports.... just make those the standard; get rid of adapters... First off, HDMI should already be dead, cause it's not even a secure connection.
do you have any other usb cable to try on it?
Set it up once, add a bookmark on PC job done.
Then just remote control his phone and or PC.
(wait... does that phone even have the play store?)
Thats even if that Phone can use it
Its basically a Dumb SMART phone, many features may be disabled to make it more simple.
Thats why it fits in that class for seniors; the phone was $50 and the he has unlimited voice/texts and 1GB data; for $15-20 / month
Well if it has the playstore
try getting the teamviewer app and go from there as fractal suggested
It's all over the internet about people taking control of your hardware with that app.
No thanx.
or is it just specifically that android App that is the problem?
I see people on Steam suggesting this to "friends" all the time; this is another scam that people are using to steal info from other steam users as well.
