Issue with Turtlebeach Stealth 400
Hey, this is kind of a long standing issue so i'll get right to the point.

So I have had a Turtlebeach Stealth 400 for about slightly longer than half a year now, and so far they have been working great until very recently.

About a week ago they have started having issues on the computer that they didn't have before. I use only the USB type connection for the computer connection and I know about it's limited combatibility when using this method, but the issues i'm having do not fall under any of these.

For instance, it recently had issues with the volume control. Whenever I tried fully reducing the volume via the scrolling wheel on the headset, the volume would always be able to be heard by a considerable amount. Even when the wheel was as far down as it could go, I could still hear nearly everything going on, albeit quietly. Also, the volume seemed to jump around randomly depending on where the wheel was. For example, if it was as far down as it would go and I could still hear stuff, it would randomly jump to being mute like it should've been in the first place, before jumping back for a majority of the time.

That was annoying, but bearable. However, just today while I was using them, they seemed to have completely fixed themselves for a few minutes (volume would turn all the way down, no wierd volume glitches) and then suddenly jumped to max volume and now refuse to change volume. No matter where either sound control wheel is, it's at max volume all the time and I can't seem to change it no matter what.

I know about the restrictions on PC when using this headset, but now it's practically unusable on PC. I was fine with the chat wheel controlling both game and chat volume and the like, but this is ridiculous.

They still work fine on PS4, so I don't think it's a physical issue. The headset is still paired from what I can tell. I have tried to update my sound drivers, to no avail. And nothing seems wrong according to the playback settings. And no one has apparently ever written about this issue before either.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

Call or Contact TurtleBeach Support and explain the issues; see if they will replace them under warranty.
