After Exiting a Game, my windows move and resize
Ever since I have installed windows 10, everytime I exit a game application the windows open on my desktop move around and resize. For example I have stick notes open, so when I exit a game they move a little bit from where I placed them and I have to move them back.
Has anyone had this issue and/or know how to fix it?

set the game to run at the same as your desktop res

Yes, run everything at the screens native res (if say screen is 1920x1080; use that for everything)

Yeah, my screen is a 1920x1080 and that is how I run my games. So idk what is happening

Get Classic Shell and try that; it's free and easy to use. You can lock down your Desktop icons and windows

Even if it says that it runs at perfectly 1920x1080, sometimes it won't run at that exact resolution. If you look up the specs for your monitor, it probably has a few extra pixels in order to make sure that isn't cutting off the image from your computer, but most computers will recognize this and compensate by using every available pixel. Thus the windows moving, because the game itself is running at exactly 1080p, but the computer isn't outputting that. Mine has the same problem, and so does every other computer I've come across. I'm not sure why this wasn't a problem before Windows 10; it seems pretty usual to me. The best solutions are to either run the game in windowed mode, or close all of those windows (which helps with game performance as well, obviously; why not just use actual post its?). I would recommend against installing extra applications to solve the problem, in any case; I'm always cautious around "free" applications that significantly alter your computer.

You have no idea what you even talking about.
Sounds to me like you just have cheap monitor perhaps... close out a windows to increase performance? What you running their, must be horrid if u ever have to do that.

What the OP is referring to NOT normal at all.

The only time this might happen and would be considered normal is when the game loads up difference from your Desktop Res. Like if for example loading up a game that is set to above or below your native/desktop res. This happens too when you running an NVIDIA DSR res (like 1440p or 2160p on a 1080p Display)

I understand, and it isn't cheap monitors, it's just how computers work. I have never seen a computer not do this, and I've changed around screens and computers a few times (and yes, I run all of my games at full 2560x1440, same as the monitor). As for keeping windows open, my computer is fairly average for gaming, but I've always seen a significant performance benefit from closing other applications before playing games, because of the extra strain on the processor. Just a little while ago, a youtuber posted a video where his game crashed because Windows update automatically started, and he's running dual GTX 980's, with an entire 64 GB of memory. As for "well known and trusted" software, I've downloaded that before, and it turns out, surprise! people lie on the Internet (especially now that it's so easy to buy popularity and drown out dissent). If you want to customize your computer to that extent, just use Linux.
