I had tried hard booting and now I flip the switch and it works. Weird

specs?

did you upgrade anything, or change os?

If you had an error in your memory it may survive a regular reboot. If that error causes windows to crash, and windows is set to reboot on error (wich is the default) you can get stuck in a loop. Only option is to cut power so the RAM get's flushed properly. Seems that did the trick.

Would samsung magician show if anything is wrong with drive? Using samsung 950 pro

It can, yes... Launch Samsung Magician; if it is already running, open it and click the CIRCLE icon at the bottom to refresh drives. Then on the OS drive (your 950 Pro) click the large S.M.A.R.T. button in the upper-right; all of that should say "OK" on everything; if not, then your drive may have issues.

I would still run CHKDSK to verify the drive.

Go to My Computer/This PC (depending on OS) and right click C drive > click Properites > Tools tab at top > Check Now > tick that extra box there > click Start. When doing this on an OS drive while the OS is running, the system will advise that it needs to reboot. Go ahead and manually Restart, the CHKDSK will auto-run on next OS boot

Also please ensure everything is update regarding your Samsung SSD.
The Magician software, NVMe Driver, and then also the SSD Firmware (check for Firmware update from within Magician)
