If it's a retail key then you should be able to use it on a new PC, but I don't think you can have it active on multiple PCs.

If having multiple PCs running Windows 10 Home is important though, you could just leave one copy inactivated, all it does is put a "Windows 10" Watermark on your desktop, and it'll get updates and work normally otherwise.

Retail licenses basically just let you reinstall Windows on new hardware, usually motherboards, as if you switch motherboards on Windows it'll see that the hardware changed and assume it's on a different computer entirely. With retail though, as long as you have the copy active on only one PC, it'll let you reinstall it.

If you have the OEM Version of Windows 10 though, that's single-PC Only, no reinstalls.

I have an OEM disk. You just can't reuse the product key that came with the disk, which doesn't really matter anyway as you can run it without a key.

What if the motherboard was destroyed before I could deactivate the PC?

I dont think it is man..
Nope, you will be not able to run it on multiple PCs at once. But if you have activation tied to your MS account you can activate even if you switch your whole PC.

You never deactivate it, you just reactivate on only one machine at any given time is all. Very simple
Only paid $5 for my registered windows 10 pro

From a site which sells Windows licenses bought with stolen credit cards.

Not necessarily the case. More likely those are enterprise or volume licensing.
That said, those keys are not meant for retail, Microsoft have the right to revoke those licenses. It's still pirating, and dumber by paying for it.

Did the same with Windows XP volume licensing after many years buying cheap software keys never had one revoked
I got Windows 10 Pro via Digital purchase so I wouldn't have to deal with this sort of thing.
