Just ensure ALL usb storage devices are unplugged prior to running the update process.
Media Creation Tool is to get the ISO and make usb flash drive, which u should do. However to upgrade pc right away, go to Win10 website and click Update Now
yeah. i'll be doing a quick test before I overwrite my current boot flash drive. since getting an older build iso requires an annoying workaround once the site updates to the new one.
Edit: Just saw BadMotha’s comment.
Also, been using Edge’s Chromium Beta ring since a month ago, and, yeah, it’s insanely quick.
rx580
12gb ram
athlon quad x4 running great as of now just one of my computers
Yeah no worries mate. Edited that bit...
Hey, doesn’t using the USB flash drive installer count as having an external storage device plugged in?
It's an RX 480 4GB that you flashed a 580 8GB BIOS onto, and you think it's given you 10GB of VRAM. And because it's reference, you're more than likely cooking the VRMs on it.
I wouldn't take anything this guy says as truth. Sure he could mean well, but he hasn't got much understanding of real world performance.
He thought he was running 4k just fine on that athlon and a GT 1030......
I loved when 1809 came out and loads of people lost their data lmao.
I still panic get a micro panic every time I see that windows 'update and shut down' button lmao.
This update is pretty vital too as it will contain fixes for vulnerabilities concerning the x86-64 architecture in general.
As for the initial 1809 release. I had absolutely zero issues with it. But reinstalled it as soon as the newer version of the release was pushed.
