ntoskrnl.exe hogging cpu
title. This program just randomly manifested on my computer one day and its hogging up to 40% cpu usage. Any way I can fix it?

That is the Windows kernel, or it could be something else hiding under that name.

Run a virus scan with Malwarebytes and Hitman Pro while Windows is booted in safe mode. It could be malware.
- In the Malwarebytes settings enable "Scan For Rootkits" before running a scan.

If the scanners say you are fine don't worry about it. Don't dig in your system looking for "issues".

Revert windows update i had one about 2 updates ago using 30+% of cpu and a memory leak that within 20 minutes would use 15gb of ram i removed and re downloaded and it was gone the last couple windows updates have jad major problems
