Mouse cursor Is Jumping around
My mouse cursor will suddenly jump somewhere else onscreen when moving it. I've changed the batteries, but that seems to have made it worse.

clean its sensor with a q-tip

If it's an optical mouse(where you can visibly see a red light for the sensor) and you're using a sleek mouepad with a design on it, that combination is likely your problem.

It's also possible that your mouse's cord is damaged.

Run driver updates, if you have a currupted driver an upadte may clean up the mess for you.
change mouse-pad surface/material

reduce dpi sensitivity
I found out the moussepad I wasusing somehow messed up the sensors.
You shouldn't really be using wireless keyboard/mouse for gaming purposes.

For your mouse, get some cleaner such as high level Isopropyl alcohol 70% or greater wipes or using a lint-free cloth. Remove dust or debris from the mouse pad and mouse.

Move the USB wireless receiver to another port, keep away from interference devices such as monitors, sub-woofer, speakers, and other wireless devices such as wifi, etc.

Else consider a wired mouse with a quality mouse pad:

Logitech G500 mouse series with Razer Goliathus (Speed or Control Edition - depending on gaming style) mouse pad.

Those will last you a good 8-12 years+ of non-stop hardcore daily gaming abuse at least (it's the mouse that never dies), very comfortable (for medium/large hands), palm grip (so relaxed), good weight management, weaved flexable out-of-the-way cable, no hassles, with everything you need and nothing you don't.

Set the mouse to raw input (no windows acceleration).
Under Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options, set the pointer speed to 6/11.

For the mouse DPI, use it's software to adjust:

DPI Sensitivity Levels should be adjusted to your personal response time and the monitor resolution size. Too low and it will jump over pixels. Set it to somewhere around 1200 DPI and adjust. If you have multiple levels, set them all - low is better for FPS games, while higher could be used for high res pixel accurate drawing applications, etc.

Report Polling Rate should be maxed out at 1000. Higher is better, only lower if your PC can't keep out with the refresh.
I'm getting a new mouse and keyboard soon, and the problem has resolved itself

Also, Wireless has been working fine with me before.
