cpuz -> spd tab
select each dimm to see its size/speed/timings/voltage
if your board has 4dimm slots it can take 4 dimms (as long as the first 2 were running under 1.55v)
if they were over 1.55v it may have cooked the imc on the cpu and it wont be able to run 3-4 dimms
if you want to buy a similar 2x4g kit, you can
same or greater speed
same or lower rimings
save or lower volrage
and run them at the orig ram speeds
and you can't change that, now the cpu can't read the ram speed so in my estimation if i buy expensive ram then it won't use the extra speed which means i wasted my $ any idea's ?
intel says 4770k uses 1333/1600 ram
http://ark.intel.com/products/75123/Intel-Core-i7-4770K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz
but it can easily run over 3200 ram kits
but all kits need to have similar spd or xmp profiles to work together
else it wont hurt running it at 1600, other than the price
it''s alittle to big and red lol
go for cl9 ro lower
speed / cl = value higher = better
1866 cl9 = 207
1600 cl8 = 200
1333 cl7 = 190
1600 cl9 = 177
1333 cl8 = 166
1600 cl10 = 160
1333 cl9 = 148 (generic ram)
