Use PCpartpicker to assemble your parts.

Biostar is a small manufacturer, I'm not sure how reliable their motherboards are, I'd try a Gigabyte or an ASUS. Seagate might be a better choice than WD Blue. Also that Lepa PSU isn't really good, you should get a XFX or a Corsair. Basically the components themselves are good in terms of being balanced, but the brand reliability isn't that good.

biostar mobos is ok but on the cheaper side
they have good support

do you already have the listed components?

instead of the 6300 and decent board, you can get an i5 4440 and cheap mobo

also get a 2x4g kit instead of a singel dimm

Whoah, you've got more or less the same stuff as me in my build, except by different makers (except for processor which is the same).

My build:
GPU: Gigabyte R9 270 2GB
CPU: AMD FX-6300 hex core
RAM: 2 x 4GB Corsair Vengeance
PSU: Corsair CS550M (550w)
MOBO: Gigabyte 970A DS3P
CASE: Bitfenix Comrade (Black)

I'd get an after market cooler for that CPU though, just from a noise point of view. The constant whirr of that little fan reving up and slowing down nearly drove me insane, so I got a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo. Big difference and CPU runs cooler too.

As far as the OS is concerned, for gaming you should get Windows simply because it has the most titles. When you hear that a game has been released on PC, what they really mean is Windows. If you can, go for Windows 7 (64-bit for > 4 gigs RAM), and more specifically Home Premium because it's a lot cheaper than Pro or Ultimate. Windows 7 is more tried and tested than 8 or 8.1 and that's why I'd go with it.

Dump your hard drive for an SSD. You can get something around 250GB for 70-90 these days. You'll be far happier with a fast, snappy system than having lots of space. Drop the CD drive and get a 270x. Maybe even 280.

I don't see how any gamer would be happy with only 250GB of storage space. I'd take a 2TB HDD over a small SSD any day.

You either don't have an SSD or you''re underestimating. You only keep your frequent games on it. Anything else you play once and you delete.

They're not very reliable. My brother had BioStar, he had blue screen issue for the all time.
