Getting a new GPU for under £200
Soon i will be getting a new GPU for my computer but i dont want to bottleneck anything. Here are my specs:

AMD A10-6800k 4.1GHz
8GB 2133 RAM
500w PSU
Asrock fm2a88x extreme6+

I was looking around and i found a 760 for under £200 but i thought it could bottleneck my cpu or something. Would a 760 be good? Are there any other GPUs that would go well with my CPU? I dont mind if it is like £20 more than £200

Feel free to ask any questions.

If anything your CPU bottlenecks your GPU. For £200 you can get a 280X http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/parts/video-card/#qq=1&c=148

Just make absolutely sure your PSU can handle it! And it needs to fit in your case ofcourse

Thanks! I will be getting this then.

Your CPU is a lower medium in performance, however it shouldn't bottleneck too much a Geforce 760 or a Radeon 280X. (the bottlenecking would more in the area of the powerhorse cards like the 770/780 or R290/295)
It will definitely do a better job, if you own either a much older GPU or if you use the integrated.
Just make sure that 500W PSU is something decent. There are huge differences between a branded one and between a no-name generic piece.

r9 270x-280 will be about hte best you can do for £200

may be pushing whta the amd a10 apu can do
cpu bottleneck will be ok til you upgrade to an i3/i5 build

make sure you have a quality 500w+ power supply

Stick with GTX 760 or R9 270X, I would not try to run R9 280X with 500W PSU.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0045L4BJ6/?tag=pcp0f-21

Choose the option "sold by Amazon for £58.99 from the side, not sold by Ballicom.
It's very good quality PSU made by Seasonic.

This card is 11.61" long, make sure you have enough room inside your case.

You do not need 750w.
But instead this "take a good 500w PSU"
I suggest you to look at your 12V output.
It should have atleast 35A.

Yeah good luck trying to run this XFX card with 500W PSU, no matter how good quality it is.

depending on the cpu, a good 550-600w is enough for any single gpu

best inexpensive quality 750w is
XFX Pro 750W Power Supply 80 Plus Bronze
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1750snlb9

xfx550 can do the r9 280

It runs even with a 450W PSU.
It depends on your 12V output.

again, it depends on the quality of the power supply

many are overrated or do not have working protections
best example of a poor psu, diablotek 1050 (500w)

Cheap Power supplies tend to have a weak 12V output, but even "quality" ones can have a weak 12V out.

Usually not that weak, but you should look at it not matter how good it is.

Right... people had problems running this even with 600W PSU in AMD build, it's 100W CPU not some Intel CPU that takes almost nothing to run.
