Would this be a good gaming computer?
http://www.amazon.com/CybertronPC-Hellion-GM1213B-Desktop-Black/dp/B00D1KWS3I/ref=psdc2_t1_B00FE8MKUG_B00D1KWS3I

I need to be able to have a decent FPS, right now I get about 30 - 40 on Call of Duty and Counter Strike games, which is horrible.
Would this be a good computer and would I be able to run on high settings getting good FPS? About how much do you think, if you play any of those games?

I am really new when it comes to computers and I need one that would work good for gaming.

fx6300 is a weak cpu with many cores and gt640 is a weak gpu
760g chipset will slow down the fx cpu, running at aii/pii spec

16g of ram is overkill for gaming
8g is still overkill and will save around $70-80

that thing is way overpriced for what it is

I don't know anything about building a comp.

I'm just looking for a comp that can play games well and is affordable. I'm not looking for the best thing possible.

It's not a good combination. Way too much RAM for that CPU.
If you only want to play CS:GO you don't even need a computer that expensive, but here goes:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WMtn99
858$
Fully overclockable, although if you want to go above 4GHz you should use a 990 chipset motherboard which costs like 40$ more.
The power supply costs a bit, but it won't crap out on you.

why an 8350, he can have a 4690k for not much more
itll be alot faster for source games which only will use 2 cores
and its missing windows

I don't include an OS in my builda unless they specificate it, some people like to get them themselves, but I might start doing that for comparison.
And because it's cheaper, he can overclock it and it will beat the i5 in other games even at stock and newer games use more cores. And I think any one of the builds proposed will pretty much give him over 100 FPS on any Source game at Full HD.

If you want some cheap and good you should take attention to the AMD Richland A10-6800K. It is system with fast integrated video. So you can't take the same as on Intel but by the half-price.

Try this
http://www.amazon.com/HP-500-189-A10-6800K-4-1GHz-Black/dp/B00IN9E0K6/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1407688826&sr=1-1&keywords=A10-6800K+desktop

if you are going to use an apu, you have a poor cpu and gpu
if you put a dedicated gpu in it, it iwll still have a poor cpu

for an amd apu build that uses the apu, fast ram will make the gpu better
the hp build has more ram not faster
and 10g (8g+2g dimms) will not be in dual chanel mode which will cut the apu performance in half

for $700
take an i5 4460 build and add a gtx750ti

while I do agree on RAM, I disagree on the CPU and GPU. Seeing as you don't need Ultra graphics on every game.

yes but amd cores are clocked higher, but actually run slower
intel 2.5ghz = amd 4ghz

I'm still curious as to where you got the Intel 2.5 always = AMD 4 thing..... No matter how hard I look I never find that.
_I_ 10 AGO 2014 a las 10:10 a. m.
the link above

c2q 9300 = 2.5ghz quad core
fx8350 = 4ghz 8 core

the c2q is exacly half of the amd cpu for multi/ram intensive tasks

they're not exactly equal in any of the tests it shows though... the AMD beats the intel out in most of them.
_I_ 10 AGO 2014 a las 10:16 a. m.
for tasks that need over 4 cores the amd will be faster

ok, do you want to compare amd 4 cores 4ghz vs intel 4 cores 2.5ghz
http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/554/AMD_FX-Series_FX-4300_vs_Intel_Core_2_Quad_Q9300.html

you are missing the point, games do not need 8 cores, and intel cores are much faster per clock
