I had ps2,wii,xbox 360 and wii u. But i always liked pc. Not because of the power . But also because of the game library, i dont care if my pc is weaker than the next gen consoles as long as i can play games, alot of the games i like aren't on the consoles, stuff like mmorpgs free to play shooters...
The last build i posted is for around 345$ and 38$ shipping, its on bid.
its still a 3+1 mobo
http://www.biostar.com.tw/upload/Motherboard/b20110926.jpg
3x 1r0 filter + 1x 1r5 for cpu (not safe for 125w cpus)
2x1r2 and r15 are for other mobo components
Looks really good for the price tho :/
Well... What about this ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/161401998211
I also found this : http://www.ebay.com/itm/161397700085
That looks good...
I am thinking about buying this : http://www.ebay.com/itm/161397700085
And upgrading the video card later
amd pii cpus do not have turbo
they will underclock when idle, should be to 800 not 2.9
worst case it could be a pii x4 840 (no l3, should be a aii not pii)
http://products.amd.com/en-us/DesktopCPUDetail.aspx?id=745&f1=AMD+Phenom%E2%84%A2+II+X4&f2=&f3=3200&f4=512&f5=AM3&f6=&f7=&f8=&f9=4000&f10=False&f11=&f12=True
for $160 its not bad
no real upgrade path for the cpu, unless you get a new cpu/mobo
(will take fx, but wont run them any better since the chipset is for aii/pii cpus)
Thermaltake 500 Watt ATX12V V2.2 - W0379RU
fire waiting to happen
This computer runs Crysis 2, Dota 2, Call of Duty Black Ops, Borderlands 2, Fifa 14, and Dark Souls all on ultra or high settings
with those specs, it will not run thos games on high-ultra
before upgrading the cpu, look up what board it has
http://www.overclock.net/t/946407/amd-motherboards-vrm-info-database
if its a 700-800 series chipset, dont bother putting an fx in it
get a pii 1100t or other x6 (if the board has 4+1 or better vrm config)
http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/316/AMD_FX-Series_FX-6300_vs_AMD_Phenom_II_X6_1100T.html
(ignore ram intensive, fx has twice as much at 4g 1866 vs 2g 1333)

----------------------
Doesn't seem like i will be able to put a fx in it, also like you said its risky for 125w cpus, so should i get a 1055t instead? (It uses 95w)
it does support and can take them, but its 3+1 vrm config will throttle the crap out of a 125w cpu
and the 760/710 chipset will run fx like a pii cpu
thats probably one of the best cpus for the board
again, its not a bad starting point
if you want a better cpu/mobo, go with an i3 or pentium g build (to reuse the ram, make sure its 1.5v or lower)
