Left analog stick controller problems (Diagonal angles)
Hi evryone. I recently bought an xbox 360 controller wich i am having a little bit of trubble with.
My left analog stick seams to be badly calibrated by default so when I am playing Metal Gear Rising (and probably other titles aswell) and tries to move to the left diagonal anges (left+up and left+down) the controller doesnt seem to "think" that the stick is pushed as far as it is and resulting in very slow walking instead of running. I have tried to calibrate to controller but with poor results.
With these problems I would like to know if this is a calibration problem, if its a problem connected too Metal Gear or if it is a hardware problem.
If u are sitting on a solution I would be very happy if you would share it with me <3

Thx for reading about my problems and (hopefully) trying to help me =3

Try recalibrating and trying it on another PC or an Xbox 360 if possible. It's either a calibration issue or a problem with the controller itself. Third-party controllers in general can commonly have slight problems with the analog sticks(assuming that your's in third-party).
This is the one i got: Controller[gyazo.com]
the samll text down under is in swedish and says "Xbox 360 Controller with cable. Provides you with extremely fast throughput for example fast firefights in FPS games." not sure what counts as a third-party controller but it does not have a cross on the middle button tho. =3
Hello Saar.

I'm coming here, almost 5 years in the future, just to say: I'm having the same issue. Just bought a controller like yours, and the left stick: diagonal left up/down isn't working properly.

How did you solved this? I'm trying to play in my xbox360 with it, do you know if there's a way to calibrate it with the console??
The controller i bought wasnt first party so i turned it back and bought a first party one. The neew one that i got still works.
Likewise, I have the same issue. Has anyone solved this? Would replacing the analogue components even work? Seems odd BOTH are broken at the same time, unless of course they are.

I don't know what the customisation options are but that looks to me like a setting is being applied - it's symmetrical. Like it's overlayed with a fat dpad, something to keep controls more 4-way.
I found this which sounds similar to your vid: https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/comments/4b6umg/xbox_one_elite_controller_analog_sticks_dont_go/
For them it was a setting.
You have got to be kidding me - this is it. I did think it was weird that both analogue sticks were exhibiting the same behaviour in all 4 diagonals. I don't really remember using Xbox Accessories, but it did have something on 'Profile 1'. I tried Profile 2 (default) and it's back to smooth motion at the extremities. Deleting Profile 1 (effectively restoring default) also works. This solution didn't cross my mind.

You were right - software, not hardware. Cannot thank you enough!
