Two of the best by far - everything you need and nothing you don't.
Great basic design, palm grip, ideal weighting, comfortable for long hours of gaming, flexable tangle-free cabling and can be abuse every day, all day for over 8 years and still work like the day you purchased it.
Use a Razer Goliathus (Control or Speed Edition, depending on your playing style) mousepad with it for complete control and comfort.
If you need a keyboard too, match it with the same software package. Such as Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth Edition with the Razer DeathAdder, or Logitech G710+ keyboard with the G500 mouse. This way device drivers don't conflict and you only have to install/update one package which managements them all. Else you could find their software rather bunkly.
Highly recommended for most gamers, who also use the PC for general use/work.
Missed the nothing fancy bit. Steel Series Rival its a bit cheaper the Razer and just as good.
"Nothing fancy" - just 50+ programmable functions on the thumb array. ;)
I LOOOOVE this mouse. Highly recommend it.
Do some measurements on your current mouse and chose something of similar size. Unless you aren't somebody who can get used to any mouse size.
In my case I got the Razer Imperator, cause the Razer Deathadder was too big for me - simply wasn't made for female hands.
Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0
Avoid Razer
You don't recommend Razer where almost every model is especially for gaming, but MS office mouses and overpriced Zowie products, where 2000 dpi optical mouses costs the same what 5000+ dpi laser mouses cost from Razer or Gamdias? I lold.
Razer has a reputation for making some terrible build quality mouses which is why I don't recommend them.
The Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0 is a very well regarded gaming mouse in the competive community, espescially arena shooters like Quake 3
Just because Zowie is a brand you don't know doesn't make it overpriced.
Higher DPI doesn't make it a quality gaming mouse, the fact that you think this just proves you really have no idea what you're talking about.
Calling Zowie overpriced tells me you don't know what your talking about, take it from someone such as myself who uses overpriced Razer products.
Simple, ambidextrous wired mouse.
Good mouse with nice grip.
I used it with Razer Goliathus and performed perfectly.
and be sure mouse has his tail
