HI TEMPS OF 118C ON MY MOTHERBOARD?
Hi pls can you advise me as i have a feeling its not really that hot. All other temperatures are normal and it even says it the minute i switch it on. So i dont think its heating up but i dont really no where to feel inside for heat. It all feels cool. When i play ARK the GPU temps still only 69c to 72c. Any advice would be great thanks

You might be getting wrong temperature reading.

Download Corsair Link and see what it says for mobo.

what mobo and cpu?

post a cpuz validation link
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
cpuz -> validate button -> submit button
it will open a browser, copy the url (address) and paste it here

Try other apps, such as CPUID HWMonitor, Piriform SPECCY, OpenHardwareMonitor

115 - 129*C is usually a sensor that does not exist, or is faulty.

cpuid says mainboard115c cpu 36c. i have messed up and done a trial of windows 10 enterprise instead of normal evaluation? could it be that? ill try cpuz link anyway thanks

Alright good. What Motherboard you have right now?

Check the temps on CPU and GPU, but first play a game like ARK you like for about few mins, so I know what your temps is at when it's underload. if the Temp for CPU and GPU are at or below 70c, then it's all fine.

Also by reading what you said for CPU at idle if I am right, then it sound like a false reading, trust me, if your mobo was that hot, it would of affected your other parts as well. Mobo reading can be wrong sometimes.

Right playing ark or mafia3
Motherboard went down to 108c
GPU max reached 72c MAX (mafia as low as 60c
CPU max was 50c but roughly 45c
Storage 32c
Thanks a lot i agree with u Dr.shadows
ps can dust inside the machine cause this prob and my motherboard is a Asus H81M-PLUS

Sisoft-sandra (free lite version) can sometimes pinpoint issues like this. It gives tips and comments about the system config.

This question has been answered before, recently infact.
Its a false reading.

only readings to be concerned about are the CPUs temps

To much dust can cause increase temperature, but I highly doubt it would be the cause with the Mobo. I sometimes get wrong reading as well, so nothing to worry about, just remember if it was really that hot, it would of affected the other hardware as well, pretty much touching it would be hot. 100c is like temp for boiling water, if that helps give you an idea how hot it can get, but don't put food/water on your stuff lol.
