Yes of course.
So you would not need to use display port at all for 2 HDMI monitors (unless you add a 3rd monitor). One could use whatever type of HDMI cable, and the other could use DVI to HDMI cable. The digital video signal for DVI and HDMI are the same, so no conversion necessary at all just different plugs on each end of the cable.
Best bet with that scenario is getting
DisplayPort male to HDMI female adapter
Plug the DP side into your GPU
Connect to Display via HDMI male to male cable
Beyond 1x Display (which your HDMI should show up properly/ok) then go into NVIDIA Control Panel and configure all of your Displays.
