Gtx 1060 with HDMI-Display Port Adapter?
I am about to purchase this 1060 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127963&cm_re=Gets_1060-_-14-127-963-_-Productbut my friend has told me that new graphics cards don't work with adapters, although he has an AMD. My monitors are actually tvs which don't have display ports. I need to know will this 1060 work with one of my monitors hooked up to it with an HDMI-Display Port Adapter? Thanks

Thanks everyone, I ended up buying the MSI 1060 and an HDMI to display port cable rather than an adapter.

If you don't think such a GPU would fit in your case, then you need a new case, cause if it is that tight, then you probably already lack enough airflow to keep everything cooled properly.

Would it work if Im using 2 monitors? both with HDMI? (my second monitor is old and doesnt have a Display port, so I need a adapter to do so.)

Yes of course.

My GTX 1060 has DVI and what I think is mini-HDMI (besides display port). I am actually using a simple DVI to HDMI cable which for a long time for Nvidia cards can even do HDMI audio. Although, I usually use a 2.1 PC speaker system with subwoofer.

So you would not need to use display port at all for 2 HDMI monitors (unless you add a 3rd monitor). One could use whatever type of HDMI cable, and the other could use DVI to HDMI cable. The digital video signal for DVI and HDMI are the same, so no conversion necessary at all just different plugs on each end of the cable.

Yes bet is not using any Audio from your GPU; use your Onboard Audio from Motherboard. As that actually should have decent options, unlike GPU audio.

Best bet with that scenario is getting
DisplayPort male to HDMI female adapter
Plug the DP side into your GPU
Connect to Display via HDMI male to male cable

Beyond 1x Display (which your HDMI should show up properly/ok) then go into NVIDIA Control Panel and configure all of your Displays.

HDMI, Displayport, and Dvi are all digital signals. You can use any adapter to convert any of them in to any other connector type and it will all always work. Digital is digital, it doesn't matter. Any random cheap connectors will work just fine. Most connectors are < $5 online, some < $2 I've bought before work fine. The only exception is high refresh rate monitors absolutely have to go over native displayport-displayport cable direct to the video card with no adapters.
